Jakarta legislative (DPRD) is seriously responding to case of traffic accidents on Transjakarta bus lanes in the capital.
They want a number of officers to sterilize Transjakarta bus lanes to be added.
Traffic Accident in Jakarta Increased Significantly"Officer to sterilize Transjakarta lanes must be added. It is to minimize case of traffic accident," stated Tubagus Arif, Chairman of Jakarta DPRD Commission B, Thursday (2/2).
Arif assessed, the high accident case on Transjakarta bus lanes is due to low awareness of the public. Hence, the officer must be added and work in a shift system.
"We've elevated the lane's separator. Thus there must be supervision in the field," he stated.
He is also supporting installation of a doorstop on the Transjakarta lanes, as long as its implementation is flexible.
"We must know the traffic condition first. If it is stuck, other vehicles can pass," he finished.
